Lenders differ, so there is no single formula. These are the factors that commonly come up when a personal watercraft is the asset being financed.

Older skis and high engine hours can limit the term or the lenders available. Hour meters matter on the water, just as odometers do on the road.
A larger deposit means borrowing less. Dealer prices, registration and a trailer can all be part of the total you ask about.
Income, existing debts, living costs and credit history are assessed. Lenders must make reasonable inquiries before lending.
A longer term lowers each repayment but usually costs more overall, and skis lose value as they age.

Fuel, servicing, storage, insurance and registration all sit beside the loan. Price them first, then choose the ski.

Say you are financing a used jet ski priced at $18,000 with no deposit, over five years. At an example rate of 9.5% a year, the repayment works out at roughly $378 a month.
Add up all 60 repayments and you pay about $4,700 more than the purchase price in interest. Lender fees, a different rate or a different term would change every figure here.
